Stretch film and pallet wrapping are excellent, cost-effective ways to increase ease of transportation whilst also preserving goods against dust, dirt or interference.
In addition to simply securing cartons the stretch film or pallet wrap also has the additional benefit of sealing the goods into a secure unitized form.
Machine Stretch Film: Machine film is the stretch film used on the machine, and it is also the largest type of stretch film. The advantages of using an automatic winding packaging machine to pack the entire pallet of goods compared with manual packaging are very obvious: 1 the pallet is more compact; 2 it can save stretch film; 3 the packaging efficiency is higher.
①. Cast Stretch Film – It is made by applying a comprehensive manufacturing operation called cast extrusion. This treatment causes cast films to boast superior clarity, allowing for end users to observe the wrapped objects. This film stretches easier due to the molecules being aligned as they’re extruded.
②. Pre-Stretch Film – It is expanded near its breaking point before it is wrapped onto rolls. This film does not necessitate as much energy as other stretch films to achieve the same wrapping force. Pre-stretched film consumption often uses around 50 percent less than other stretch films, making for potentially extreme cost reductions.
Hand Wrap: It is a film for manual winding operation, which is used to pack goods and pallets by manpower. It is also known as hand film, hand stretch wrap, hand wrap or manual pallet wrap. It is the most widely used. Due to the characteristics of manual operation, in order to be convenient to hold, the weight of each roll of hand-used stretch film will not exceed 5 kg. Compared with machine films, the force of manual stretching is limited, and the stretching ratio of hand films is generally not higher than that of machine films. It is commonly used by companies who wrap small volumes of products. Generally speaking, that would be companies who wrap less than 50 pallets per day.
